As a global reference for legendary jazz players, Henri SELMER Paris now expands its PREMIUM reed line with a new model designed specifically for jazz. With a rich, expressive tone and outstanding projection, these reeds are ideal both for section playing and for jazz soloists.
Their immediate response and ease of play allow musicians to concentrate fully on their expression.
The ¼ strength increments provide finer adjustment, making it easier for players to fine-tune their setup for jazz and contemporary styles.
Conception
Henri SELMER Paris sources only the finest wild-grown Arundo donax cane from the Var region in southern France. Known for its high fiber density, this cane ensures superior durability and stable response, even in changing climates. It grows in a pristine environment, free from pesticides.
Each reed is carefully crafted on traditional machines high precision designed to maintain our high quality standards. Mechanically guided profile cutters ensure excellent consistency.
These reeds are available in strengths 2 to 4, and are calibrated by ¼ strength between 2.5 and 3.5 to reduce dispersion and so offer musicians a greater number of good reeds in the same box.
To preserve the reed’s vibration, strength markings and the Henri SELMER Paris logo are laser-engraved on the bark, not the vamp.
They are packaged ecologically, without plastic, and come with a recyclable, compostable and ergonomic reed holder, underlining the brand's environmental commitment.
