สมาคมแซ็กโซโฟนประเทศไทย ร่วมกับวิทยาลัยดุริยางคศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล แถลงข่าวจัดการแข่งขัน
เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้ที่ Black Box Theater สมาคมแซ็กโซโฟน (ประเทศไทย) ร่วมกับ วิทยาลัยดุริยางคศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล แถลงข่าวจัดการแข่งขันแซ็กโซโฟนระดับนานาชาติ Thailand International Saxophone Competition 2024 พร้อมเปิดตัวสมาคมฯ เป็นศูนย์รวมผู้รู้ ผู้เล่น และผู้สนใจด้านแซ็กโซโฟนแห่งแรกในประเทศ
สมาคมแซ็กโซโฟน (ประเทศไทย) ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ.2566 ด้วยความมุ่งมั่นตั้งใจของคณะกรรมการบริหารสมาคมฯ ซึ่งประกอบด้วยนักวิชาการดนตรีแซ็กโซโฟนจากสถาบันการศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาต่างๆ อาทิ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม สถาบันบัณฑิตพัฒนศิลป์ ฯลฯ ในการที่จะสร้างศูนย์กลางการเรียนรู้ทางดนตรีแซ็กโซโฟนให้เกิดขึ้นอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
โดยตลอดระยะเวลาหนึ่งปีที่ผ่านมา สมาคมฯ เดินสายจัดเวิร์กช็อปแซ็กโซโฟนทั่วประเทศจากเหนือจรดใต้ และกิจกรรมคอนเสิร์ตแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมทางดนตรีแซ็กโซโฟน ภายใต้ความร่วมมือกับ Museum of Saxophone ณ เมือง Fiumicino ประเทศอิตาลี
รศ.ดร.ภาธร ศรีกรานนท์ นายกสมาคมแซ็กโซโฟน (ประเทศไทย) กล่าวว่า นอกจากเป้าหมายในการเป็นศูนย์กลางและศูนย์รวมผู้สนใจแซ็กโซโฟน ยังมีเจตนารมณ์ที่จะเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้และเผยแพร่แซ็กโซโฟนในหลากหลายมิติ “ส่วนตัวผมมีความยินดีที่จะนำเครื่องแซ็กโซโฟนที่สะสมไว้จำนวนมากมาเผยแพร่ในรูปแบบพิพิธภัณฑ์เครื่องดนตรี เพื่อถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้เกี่ยวกับเครื่องดนตรีแซ็กโซโฟนในแต่ละยุคสมัย และส่งเสริมให้ประวัติศาสตร์ของเครื่องดนตรีชนิดนี้เป็นที่รู้จักอย่างลึกซึ้งในกลุ่มคนที่รัก หลงใหล และสนใจใคร่รู้”
ทั้งนี้ในโอกาสก้าวเข้าสู่ปีที่สองของสมาคมฯ จึงถือฤกษ์นี้แจงถึงการจัดแข่งขัน Thailand International Saxophone Competition 2024 ซึ่งจะประกาศผลการคัดเลือกรอบแรกในเดือนพฤษภาคม เพื่อคัดสรรฝีมือผู้ชนะเข้ารอบสุดท้าย ทั้งรุ่นเยาวชนและรุ่นบุคคลทั่วไป โดยผู้ชนะเลิศประเภทเดี่ยวทุกรายการจะได้ให้เดินทงไปร่วมแสดงที่ Museum of Saxophone ณ เมือง Fiumicino ประเทศอิตาลี โดยสมาคมฯ เป็นผู้สนับสนุนค่าใช้จ่ายตลอดทั้งทริป
ด้าน ดร.ณรงค์ ปรางค์เจริญ คณบดีวิทยาลัยดุริยางคศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ได้กล่าวย้ำถึงบทบาทที่สำคัญของสมาคมฯ ในแง่ของการผลักดันวงการแซ็กโซโฟน และการจัดการแข่งขัน ซึ่งมีส่วนสำคัญในการพัฒนาทักษะและความสามารถของผู้เข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน
“สมาคมฯ มีส่วนอย่างมากที่จะช่วยให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ และเป็นตัวกลางในการเชื่อมประสานนักแซ็กโซโฟนทั่วประเทศ ซึ่งการรวมตัวกันในรูปแบบสมาคม จะช่วยให้พลังของการสนับสนุนบุคคลในแวดวงเดียวกันมีความแข็งแกร่งยิ่งขึ้น ส่วนข้อดีของการจัดแข่งขันนั้น จะช่วยให้ตัวผู้แข่งมองเห็นฝีมือของตัวเองได้ชัดเจน ท่ามกลางผู้แข่งขันคนอื่นๆ ทำให้เกิดกระบวนการเรียนรู้และเติบโต ไม่ใช่มุ่งแต่เรื่องแพ้ชนะอย่างเดียว”
Thailand International Saxophone Competition 2024 ครอบคลุมการแข่งขันประเภทเดี่ยวและรวมวง ทั้งแนวเพลงคลาสสิกและแจ๊ส เปิดกว้างให้กับผู้แข่งขันระดับอายุไม่เกิน 18 ปี และระดับอายุไม่เกิน 28 ปี ซึ่งกิจกรรมนี้จะจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 30 พฤษภาคม - 1 มิถุนายน 2567 ณ วิทยาลัยดุริยางคศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล.

The Saxophone Association (Thailand) cooperates with the College of Music, Mahidol University, Press conference for the international saxophone competition named “Thailand International Saxophone Competition 2024”, and launch of the association, another center for Thai saxophone players, and those who are interested in saxophone.
The Saxophone Association (Thailand) was established in February. The association's committee consists of saxophone professors from various institutes, as well as other musical fields. Throughout the past year, the association has been organizing saxophone workshops in many areas of the country from north to south, as well as concerts and activities for cultural exchange through saxophone, under cooperation with the Museum of Saxophone in Fiumicino, Italy.
Asst. prof. Pathorn Srikaranonda, Ph.D, The President of the Saxophone Association (Thailand) stated that in addition to the goal of being a center for those interested in the saxophone. It also intends to be a source of learning and dissemination of saxophone in many areas.
“ Personally, I need to bring a large collection of saxophones to the museum to convey knowledge about the instrument in each era and promote its history which Effectively ones who are interested in saxophone,” said Asst. prof. Pathorn Srikaranonda, .Ph.D.
On the occasion of entering the second year, the association takes this opportunity to launch the Thailand International Saxophone Competition 2024, which will announce the results of the first round in May. All solo categories will be allowed to travel to perform at the Museum of Saxophone in Fiumicino, Italy, with the association sponsoring the expenses for the entire trip.
Dr. Narong Prangcharoen, the dean of the College of Music, Mahidol University has emphasized the important role of the association. In terms of pushing the saxophone industry, competition takes part in developing the skill and ability of the participant.
“The association plays a huge part in education and connects saxophonists all over the country, which comes together in the form of an association with supporting people in society can help to strengthen the music circle. The advantage of competition is to allow competitors to have a clear concept of developing themselves, do not just focus on winning or losing.” Said Dr. Narong Prangcharoen, the dean of the College of Music Mahidol University.
Thailand International Saxophone Competition 2024 includes solo and ensemble categories, both classical and jazz. Open to competitors under 18 years of age and 28 years of age.
